‘Bangladeshi Tales from King’s Cross’ is a film which was created and curated by Mohammed Ali and Soul City Arts with the support of the Bloomsbury Festival, the project trainees, the local community and technical support of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
For this film Mohammed interviewed elders from Somers Town and Bloomsbury in the King’s Cross area of London.
Channel S will be broadcasted the full version of the projection video on the anniversary of Independence Victory on 16 December 2021.
As part of the Bloomsbury Festival 2021 it was show as an outdoor projection on two occassions. The projections were displayed as part of larger events – the first in Cromer St, near Kings Cross, on the opening night of the festival – and main opening event Lights Banners Tigers, and the second as part of the Bangladesh 50 event at the British Library.
